Mental Health

This is an annotated bibliography of government resources that I deem significant for anyone interested in the topic of Mental Health in Canada. If there is anything you feel should be added to this list, my contact information can be found at the bottom of each page.

This publication's purpose is to educate people on all that is involved in mental health and mental illness. It is a great resource for organization's looking to update their policy.

2. Canadian Community Health Survey – Mental Health: Public Use Microdata File.The Daily, 2012. Available from:

The Daily's publication based on interviews with 25,000 Canadians age 15+. The data has a focus on mental health status and community needs for formal and informal support services.

This article shows trends in suicide and how results vary by sex, age and marital status, based on data from the Canadian Vital Statistics Death Database.

A study by Statistics Canada based on the level of stress working Canadians experience and their source of stress.

This publication's purpose is to raise awareness and educate the population on mental health and mental illness in Canada in order to minimize the stigma for those living with mood disorders.
